IHG retired the Friends & Family Rate at the end of 2025. The replacement, IHG One Pass, runs through a colleague's account rather than public booking links — you're designated as their Plus One, sharing their deepest available discount, an uncapped Flex Rate, and a 50% food & beverage benefit at IHG-branded hotels worldwide.
IHG moved from public links to a managed, account-based system.
The old Friends & Family Rate ran on public booking links, which is why the codes circulated on forums for years. IHG One Pass eliminates the links entirely. Access now runs through a specific IHG colleague's account, and every discounted booking traces back to a Pass Holder that colleague has designated in IHG's system — you, and up to five Friends.

An IHG colleague can designate one Plus One and up to five Friends. This product is the Plus One tier — access to both the Rate and the Flex Rate.

As a Plus One, you get access to both the fixed-price One Pass Rate and the uncapped Flex Rate — when the deepest-discount rate isn't available for your dates, the Flex Rate is the fallback, still at 35–50% off with the same dining benefit.
Not a flat percentage — a fixed nightly price set by the property's average rate.
Unlike most loyalty discounts, the One Pass Rate isn't a percentage off. It's a fixed price that depends on the hotel's average nightly rate (ADR). The bands below are figures reported by IHG properties and loyalty sources — IHG does not publish this table publicly, and figures may change.

Rate bands as reported in early 2026. The discount is largest at higher-tier properties (InterContinental, Kimpton, Regent, Vignette, voco, full-service Crowne Plaza) and smallest at select-service brands like Holiday Inn Express — factor that into whether the Plus One tier or the Friends Rate makes more sense for your typical trips.

You're designated as the Plus One on a verified IHG colleague's account through IHG's official Pass Holder Management Portal.
Once confirmed, you'll receive an official confirmation email directly from IHG One Rewards, along with the Program Terms & Conditions.
Search your dates, and select "IHG One Pass Rate" or "IHG One Pass Flex Rate" from the rate preference dropdown.
